After an outcry from the public, Microsoft decided to keep MS Paint. I couldn't believe they were thinking about discontinuing it. When I was younger, I really liked art and I went to a performing arts high school. Although I pursued a different major in college, art always held a special place in my heart. That's why I appreciate tools, like Paint. I just used the app this week for an upcoming project. I'm no pro, but it's useful. How do you feel about MS Paint? Were there any times the app came in handy?
It's no secret that I like going to the movies and reading movie reviews. When I saw "Wish Upon" on Monday, I learned something new. Although The Washington Post didn't like the movie, they noted that it at least passed the Bechdel Test. Then, I started to wonder what the Bechdel Test was. According to Wikipedia, "The Bechdel test asks whether a work of fiction features at least two women who talk to each other about something other than a man".
I used to be a Gender & Women's Studies minor in undergrad and I didn't even know a test like that existed. I'm not sure of the validity, but it's interesting. If you know any movies that passed the test enter them at bechdeltest.com. I typed in Wish Upon. Do you know any movies that passed/failed the test?
