It's no secret that I like going to the movies and reading movie reviews. When I saw "Wish Upon" on Monday, I learned something new. Although The Washington Post didn't like the movie, they noted that it at least passed the Bechdel Test. Then, I started to wonder what the Bechdel Test was. According to Wikipedia, "The Bechdel test asks whether a work of fiction features at least two women who talk to each other about something other than a man".
I used to be a Gender & Women's Studies minor in undergrad and I didn't even know a test like that existed. I'm not sure of the validity, but it's interesting. If you know any movies that passed the test enter them at bechdeltest.com. I typed in Wish Upon. Do you know any movies that passed/failed the test?
